Plum Pudding
Ingredients
- 2 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 teaspoon soda
- 4 tablespoon 'C sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup currants
- 1/2 cup suet
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Chop the suet, and sprinkle with one tablespoon of flour to prevent sticking.
- Add the raisins, currants, 'c' sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves and bread crumbs.
- Add the egg and milk beaten together, add the vanilla, mix the soda in the molasses and add to the first mixture.
- Fill a well-buttered pudding mould one-half full.
- Steam two hours.
- Serve with hard sauce.
