Plain Paste or Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 2 cup pastry flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup lard

Directions

  1. Mix flour and salt, cut the shortening through the flour, add ice-cold water gradually, about 1/2 cup.
  2. Chill on ice 30 minutes.
  3. Then place on well-floured board, roll out, fold 3 times and roll again.
  4. Do this 3 times, then roll to fit the pie plate.
