Plain Paste or Pie Crust
Ingredients
- 2 cup pastry flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup lard
Directions
- Mix flour and salt, cut the shortening through the flour, add ice-cold water gradually, about 1/2 cup.
- Chill on ice 30 minutes.
- Then place on well-floured board, roll out, fold 3 times and roll again.
- Do this 3 times, then roll to fit the pie plate.
