Peanut Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 cup stale bread crumbs, or 1 cup dried crumbs
  • 1 quart scalded milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Soften the peanut butter with a little of the hot milk.
  2. Soak the bread crumbs in the remainder of the milk.
  3. Add the egg, beaten, with the sugar and salt, then the peanut butter.
  4. Mix thoroughly and bake about one-half hour in a moderate oven.
