One Egg Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/8 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Cream the butter, add the sugar gradually, and the egg well beaten.
  2. Mix and sift the flour and baking powder and add alternately with the milk.
  3. Add the vanilla.
  4. Bake in a loaf- cake pan twenty-five minutes in a moderate oven.
