Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Directions

  1. Wash and peel medium-sized potatoes ; cook in boiling water (salted) until tender.
  2. (About twenty minutes.
  3. ) Drain and shake over the fire a minute or two until they are a little dry.
  4. Either mash with potato masher, or put through potato ricer.
  5. Add butter, salt, paprika and milk.
  6. Beat till very light, fluffy and white.
  7. Reheat by setting the saucepan in a larger kettle place over flame.
  8. More milk may containing boiling water.
  9. Be needed.
  10. Pile them lightly on the hot dish in which they are to be served.
