Iced Cider Cup

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sugar
  • 1 pint cider
  • 1/2 pint water
  • 1/2 cup sherry
  • 2 lemons
  • soda water

Directions

  1. Dissolve the sugar in the water, add the thinly peeled lemon rind and boil for 3 minutes.
  2. Strain and chill.
  3. Add the lemon juice, cider and sherry, and once more chill.
  4. Just before serving, add the soda water.
