Directions

  1. Rub a piece of sugar over the lemon rind.
  2. Place all the ingredients except the lemon juice in a saucepan, and simmer without boiling for 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the lemon juice into a punch bowl, pour on the hot liquid and serve at once.
