Ginger Drop-Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped raisins
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 4 tablespoon melted butter

Directions

  1. Put the molasses in a bowl, add the boiling water and the dry ingredients, sifted.
  2. Then add the raisins and the melted butter.
  3. Beat well for two minutes.
  4. Pour into buttered muffin pans, filling the pans one-half full.
  5. Bake twenty minutes in a moderate oven.
