Filling

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 5 tablespoon flour
  • 1 1/2 squares melted chocolate
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Mix well the sugar, flour and salt.
  2. Add gradually the milk and beaten egg yolks.
  3. Cook in a double boiler fifteen minutes.
  4. Add the melted chocolate.
  5. Cook until thick (about ten minutes), and add the vanilla.
  6. Fill the baked shell, and cover with meringue.
  7. Place in a moderate oven and cook until the meringue is a delicate brown (about five minutes).
