Escalloped Oysters

Ingredients

  • 2 cup oysters
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cup milk, ·

Directions

  1. Look over the oysters carefully and remove any particles of shell.
  2. To the melted butter add salt, pepper and cracker crumbs.
  3. Place a layer of crumbs in the bottom of a well buttered baking dish, and add the oysters and more crumbs until the dish is filled.
  4. Pour the milk over the oysters and crackers.
  5. Bake twenty minutes in a moderate oven.
