Escalloped Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked cabbage
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoon fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Directions

  1. Melt the butter, add the flour and salt, and mix well.
  2. Slowly pour over the milk and cook until creamy.
  3. Add the cabbage.
  4. Pour into a buttered baking dish.
  5. Add bread crumbs to melted butter, and place the buttered crumbs on the cabbage.
  6. Bake in a moderate oven for fifteen minutes, or until the crumbs are browned.
