Date Torte

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 package dates
  • 3 tablespoon bread crumbs
  • 1 cup nut meats

Directions

  1. Beat eggs slightly, add sugar, bread crumbs and baking powder.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Add dates, which have been stoned.
  4. Add nut meats.
  5. Stir to an even consistency.
  6. Place in greased muffin tins and bake in a slow oven for thirty minutes.
  7. Test to see if done.
  8. Serve with whipped cream.
