Custard Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract

Directions

  1. Mix well the sugar, salt and flour, gradually add the beaten egg-yolks, and the milk.
  2. Cook in a double boiler until the mixture coats a silver spoon yellow.
  3. Add the vanilla and lemon extract.
  4. Beat one minute.
  5. Serve very cold.
