Crosscut Beef Shank Stew
Ingredients
- 2 pound beef shank , (cut in 2-inch pieces)
- 1 cup cooked tomatoes
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoon lard
- 1 onion
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup diced celery
Directions
- Brown meat in lard.
- Season.
- Add tomatoes, water, sliced onion, and celery.
- Cover and cook slowly, or bake in a moderate oven (350° f) about 2 hours.
