Cornmeal and Raisin Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn meal
  • 1 tablespoon sugar, or syrup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 1/2 cup hot milk
  • 1/2 cup seeded raisins
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg, , well beaten

Directions

  1. Pour the hot milk on the meal, sugar, salt, and butter; cool, add raisins, flour, baking powder, and egg.
