Corn Bread II
Ingredients
- 2 quart corn meal, (2 1/2 pounds)
- 4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoon salt, (1 ounce)
- 4 eggs
- 1 quart evaporated milk
- 1 quart evaporated milk
- 1 quart water
- 1/2 cup vinegar
Directions
- Press dry ingredients through a coarse sieve.
- Combine milk, water and vinegar and add to beaten eggs.
- Stir liquid quickly into dry ingredients.
- Add melted fat.
- Pour in a thin layer into well greased baking pans.
- Bake in a hot oven (425f) about 20 minutes.
