Chocolate Cream Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 squares of melted chocolate
  • 5 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoon hot water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Mix the cornstarch, sugar and salt.
  2. Add cold milk gradually, mixing well.
  3. Melt the chocolate in the hot water, and add it to the other mixture.
  4. Cook in the double boiler ten minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Beat three minutes.
  6. Add the stiffly beaten white and the vanilla.
  7. Mould, chill and serve.
  8. If the chocolate does not melt in the hot water, cook over the fire a minute.
  9. Whipped cream may be served with the pudding.
