
Chili Con Carne
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoon fat
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 pound chopped beef
- 2 cup tomatoes
- 10 1/2 ounce tomato soup
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 garlic clove, mashed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound kidney bean
Directions
- Heat fat in 10-inch skillet.
- Add onion, green pepper, and meat.
- Cook until brown, stirring occasionally.
- Add next 6 ingredients.
- Cover.
- Simmer about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Add more water if mixture gets too thick.
- Combine garlic and salt; add with beans to meat mixture.
- Heat.
