Bechamel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup milk

Directions

  1. Melt the butter, add the flour, salt and pepper and mix well.
  2. Gradually stir in the milk.
  3. Cook until it thickens slightly.
  4. Add the beaten egg-yolk, cook one minute and serve immediately with one cup of diced carrots.
