Baked Spareribs and Sauerkraut with Dumplings

Ingredients

  • spareribs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • sauerkraut
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk

Directions

  1. Cut spareribs into serving portions and place in the bottom of roasting pan.
  2. Add the sauerkraut and a little liquid.
  3. Cover and bake in moderate oven (350f) 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Make dumplings by combining flour, baking powder, milk and egg.
  5. Drop by spoonfuls on sauerkraut, cover tightly and bake for 20 minutes.
