Baked Cottage Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 2/3 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 well-beaten egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla or lemon extract

Directions

  1. Mix dry ingredients, add egg and milk.
  2. Beat well and add melted butter and extract.
  3. Bake twenty-five minutes in a well buttered mould.
  4. Serve hot with the lemon sauce.
