Apple Fritters
Ingredients
- 12 apples
- 3 eggs
- 1 quart milk
- flour, as needed
Directions
- Make a batter, not very stiff, with 1 quart of milk, 3 eggs and flour to bring it to a right consistency ; pare and core a dozen large apples and chop them to about the size of small peas, and mix well in the batter.
- Fry in lard as you do doughnuts, and eat with powdered sugar and the juice of a lemon.
