Apple Fritters



  1. Make a batter, not very stiff, with 1 quart of milk, 3 eggs and flour to bring it to a right consistency ; pare and core a dozen large apples and chop them to about the size of small peas, and mix well in the batter.
  2. Fry in lard as you do doughnuts, and eat with powdered sugar and the juice of a lemon.
