Apple Coffee Cake

Directions

1. Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon into mixing bowl.
2. Cut in shortening.
3. Combine egg, milk and vinegar.
4. Blend thoroughly.
5. Add to flour mixture.
6. Mix lightly until flour is moistened.
7. Pour into well-oiled 9-inch baking dish.
8. Arrange apples on batter.
9. Sprinkle with crumb topping.
10. Bake in moderate oven 400f, 30 minutes, or until apples are done.
