Turnips

Ingredients

  • 4 turnips
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Wash, pare and cut the turnips in small pieces.
  2. Cook until transparent and tender.
  3. Drain, mash, add the butter, salt and pepper, mix thoroughly and return to the fire to dry out the superfluous water.
  4. Serve hot with vinegar, never cook turnips until brown.
