
Spiced Gooseberries
Ingredients
- 5 pound ripe gooseberries
- 2 tablespoon clove
- 4 pound brown sugar
- 2 cup vinegar
- 2 teaspoon allspice
Directions
- Wash and pick over gooseberries.
- Combine with sugar, vinegar, spices and cook slowly until mixture becomes rather thick.
- Pour into sterilized glasses and seal.
