Scotch Woodcock

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ounce butter
  • rounds of toast
  • 1 egg
  • capers
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • anchovy, fillets
  • seasoning

Directions

  1. Melt the fat in a pan, lightly scramble the egg with the milk and season to taste.
  2. Pile on the rounds of toast, and decorate with capers and a cross made of anchovy fillets.
