Savoury Whirls

Ingredients

  • 4 ounce shortcrust pastry
  • yeast, or meat extract
  • water

Directions

  1. Roll out shortcrust pastry thinly into an oblong and spread with yeast or meat extract, leaving the edges free.
  2. Brush the edges with water and roll up like a swiss roll, then cut off thin slices.
  3. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in a hot oven for 10-15 minutes.
