
Round Steak Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 pound round steak
- 6 slices bacon
- 2 medium onions
- salt
- pepper
- 1/2 cup water
Directions
- Buy round steak cut one-half inch thick.
- Wipe meat with a damp cloth.
- Cut into six servings.
- Brown the diced bacon and chopped onions.
- Spread on meat which has been seasoned with salt and pepper.
- Roll, fasten with skewers.
- Brown in the remaining bacon fat.
- Add one-half cup water, cover, reduce heat and simmer gently for 1 hi hours.
- These may be finished in a moderate oven (350f).
