Rommevafler (Sour Cream Waffles)

Ingredients

  • 1 pint rich sour milk
  • 6 -8 tablespoon water
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients to a smooth batter and let it stand and swell for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Bake the waffles over relatively low heat in an electric waffle iron or one that is heated.
  3. Over the stove.
  4. They should be crisp and golden brown.
  5. Eat them with geitost or jam, and for a treat, with a spoonful of sour cream.
