Peach Dumplings

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Make a syrup of the sugar with the butter and 2 cups hot water.
  2. Add the peaches.
  3. Let this come to a boil.
  4. Make dumplings by mixing flour and baking powder and sait into a fairly stiff batter with milk or cream.
  5. Drop large spoonfuls of this batter into the boiling syrup and peaches.
  6. Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
  7. Serve while hot.
