Pease Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 pint peas
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ounce butter, or drippings

Directions

  1. Soak the peas for a day; tie them loosely in a cloth and boil gently for two hours, when soft, drain and mash them, adding the egg and butter with a little pepper and salt, replace in the cloth and boil gently for half an hour.
