Indian Pudding The 'Champion'

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fine corn meal
  • 1 quart boiling milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ounce melted butter
  • 1/4 pound sugar
  • 1/4 pound raisin, floured
  • 4 eggs, well beaten

Directions

  1. Stir cornmeal into boiling milk and let stand until lukewarm.
  2. Mix salt, melted butter, sugar, raisins and well beaten eggs into the batter.
  3. Stir thoroughly and bake 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Eat with cream or hard sauce.
