
Grape Nut Pudding
Ingredients
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 1/4 cup boiling water
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 2 cup grapenuts
- 2 eggs
- 2 cup nut meats
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/2 cup dates
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
- Pour boiling water over grapenuts.
- Set aside to cool.
- Beat yolks of eggs with sugar, spices and butter.
- Then add nut meats, raisins and dates.
- Mix all with grapenuts.
- Lastly fold in the beaten whites of eggs to which salt has been added.
- Bake in moderate oven twenty-five minutes.
- Serve with whipped cream.
