Glazed Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 6 sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoon butter

Directions

  1. Wash, pare and boil the sweet potatoes.
  2. When tender, drain, cut in lengthwise slices one-half inch thick, and lay in a buttered pan.
  3. Cover with a syrup made by cooking the baste frequently.
  4. Bake twenty minutes in a moderate oven.
