Filling for Layers or Frosting for Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Dissolve com starch in a little of the milk and cook over double boiler with milk until mixture thickens.
  2. Add sugar, beaten egg yolks and chopped nuts.
  3. (1/2 recipe is sufficient to ice loaf cake).
