Cranberry Salad III
Ingredients
- 2 cup flour, sifted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 -1 cup sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 tablespoon melted shortening
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoon hot water
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 cup chopped cranberries, cut in half
- 1 orange rind, grated
Directions
- Mix flour, salt baking powder and sugar.
- Combine with egg, shortening, orange juice and hot water until dry ingredients are moist.
- Fold in nuts, cranberries and orange rind.
- Bake in moderate oven - 1 hour, 10 min.
- Cool and wrap in wax paper for 24 hours.
