Chocodiles

Ingredients

  • 3 cup sifted flour
  • 1 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/3 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 beaten egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Combine flour, brown sugar, butter, shortening, peanut butter, and salt.
  2. Using low speed of mixer or pastry blender combine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add egg yolk and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Press mixture into ungreased jelly roll pan.
  5. Bake in moderate oven (350f) for 25 to 30 minutes - until golden brown.
  6. Cool slightly.
  7. Spread with chocolate crunch.
