Chili Sauce

Ingredients

  • 12 large, ripe tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon salt
  • 3 green peppers
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 cup vinegar

Directions

  1. Peel the tomatoes and onions, and chop separately very fine.
  2. Chop the pepper also, and add the salt, sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Mix all the ingredients together and add the vinegar.
  4. Cook one and one-half hours over a moderate fire, stirring sufficiently to prevent sticking.
  5. Bottle, and when cool, seal with paraffin.
