Bettina's Spiced Beets

Ingredients

  • 5 large cooked beets, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon 'C' sugar
  • 6 cloves
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Heat the vinegar, add the cloves, sugar, salt and pepper.
  2. Pour over the beets, cut in one-third inch slices.
  3. Allow to stand one hour before serving.
