A Crescent of Liver

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Grind the cooked liver and onion together.
  2. Add other ingredients.
  3. Cook slowly until thick.
  4. Cool.
  5. Add enough milk to the homemade biscuit mixture to make a soft dough.
  6. Roll to one-fourth inch thickness.
  7. Spread with cooled liver mixture, allowing one inch around the edge for overlapping.
  8. Roll like a jelly roll.
  9. Brush edges with water and pinch together.
  10. Slide the roll onto a cookie sheet and form a crescent.
  11. Sprinkle with finely chopped uncooked bacon.
  12. Bake in hot oven (425f) for 25 to 30 minutes.
  13. Serve with hot undiluted tomato soup or gravy.
