Whole-Wheat Butterscotch Raisin Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water, or milk if available
  • 1/2 - 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 - 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted fat
  • 2 cup whole wheat flour

Directions

  1. Mix egg, sugar and fat and beat well together.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder and salt together and add to egg mixture alternately with liquid.
  3. Add raisins.
  4. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake in moderate oven for 50 to 55 minutes.
