Whole-Wheat Butterscotch Raisin Bread
Ingredients
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water, or milk if available
- 1/2 - 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 - 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon melted fat
- 2 cup whole wheat flour
Directions
- Mix egg, sugar and fat and beat well together.
- Mix flour, baking powder and salt together and add to egg mixture alternately with liquid.
- Add raisins.
- Pour into greased loaf pan and bake in moderate oven for 50 to 55 minutes.
