Stewed Dried Fruits
Ingredients
- water
- fruit
- sugar
Directions
- Inspect and wash fruit carefully.
- Add cold water to cover and allow to soak several hours or overnight.
- Cook until tender in the same water in which fruit was soaked, sugar is not usually required for prunes.
- One-fourth cup or less of sugar can be added to each pound of apricots.
- Stewed dried fruits are delicious served with soft custard.
