Rice Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon grated nutmeg

Directions

  1. Beat the egg, add the suger, salt, nutmeg, vanilla, and milk.
  2. Add the rice.
  3. Pour the mixture into a well-buttered baking dish and dot over with the butter.
  4. Bake in a moderate oven twenty-five minutes.
  5. It may be served hot or cold.
  6. Cream may be served with it if desired.
