Pusselen (Kisses)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound butter, (2 cups)
  • 1 1/2 pound flour, (6 cups)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cup crushed walnuts
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Mix butter, flour and 1/2 cup sugar.
  2. Add egg yolks and lemon juice.
  3. Work together until smooth.
  4. Make small balls, flatten, dip in egg whites, then crushed nuts with sugar.
  5. Dent and put lekvar (or jam of your choice) in center.
  6. Place on cookie sheet 1 inch apart.
  7. Bake at 375f for 10 to 15 minutes or until done.
