Prune Blanc Mange

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup cooked, cut prunes
  • 4 tablespoon cold milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 2/3 cup hot milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Mix the cornstarch, sugar and salt, and add the cold milk slowly.
  2. Gradually add the hot milk.
  3. Cook in a double boiler for twenty minutes.
  4. Add the prunes, lemon extract and vanilla.
  5. Beat well, and serve cold with cream.
