  1. Prepare White Bread dough
  2. After first rising, divide dough in half
  3. Roll out each half 1/2-inch thick on a lightly floured board
  4. Cut with 2 1/2-inch round cutter
  5. Crease heavily across center with the dull edge of a knife
  6. Brush lightly with melted shortening
  7. Fold over
  8. Place on greased baking sheet about 1 inch apart
  9. Cover with damp cloth
  10. Let rise in a warm place, 80° to 85° until double in bulk
  11. Meanwhile set oven for hot, 400°
  12. Bake rolls 20 minutes or until brown
  13. Remove from pan immediately
