Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoon lard
  • 3 tablespoon water

Directions

  1. Mix the flour and salt.
  2. Cut in the lard with a knife, and add the water very carefully, to form a stiff dough.
  3. Roll into shape, and reserve a small part of the dough for the bars.
  4. Fit the crust carefully into a deep tin pie-pan.
  5. Fill the crust with the cranberry filling, being careful not to let any juice run out.
  6. Cut the bars two-thirds of an inch wide.
  7. Moisten the ends, and arrange in criss-cross fashion across the pie.
