Maple Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 3 eggs yolks, beaten
- 1 egg white, beaten stiff
- 1 pint cream
Directions
- Put maple syrup over the fire in a granite dish; heat just to boiling; before removing from the fire, add the beaten yolks of eggs; let them scald, not boil, or they will curdle.
- When cool, stir in cream and add the white of an egg beaten stiff, then freeze.
