Fruit Cocktail Torte
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 No. 303 can fruit, cocktail drained
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions
- Mix together flour, sugar, egg, soda, salt and drained fruit cocktail.
- Place in ungreased 8-inch square pan.
- On top of this spread a mixture of the brown sugar and nuts.
- Bake in moderately slow oven (300 degrees) one hour.
- When cool, cut in squares and serve with whipped cream.
